Hi, everyone!
My name is Margo and I’m 24 years old. I live in Chicago, where I grew up and have lived the majority of my life. I graduated from DePaul University in 2016 with a degree in international studies, sociology and German. Because of my international studies background, I not only love learning about other places and history, I also tend to travel and put myself in culturally-uncomfortable positions. I lived in rural Thailand for six months and have lived in Istanbul, Turkey at three different points.
While traveling and trying to understand other cultures is my passion, right now I work for a store called lululemon, which sells athletic clothing. The company also tries to better the community through fundraising for local nonprofits and trying to create social impact. Because of my job and my coworkers, I’ve become very active myself and I love it! This year I ran my first half marathon and competed in my first triathlon. I also enjoy hiking, journaling, popcorn, wearing the free slippers you get on planes months after the flight and using culture as an icebreaker instead of a shock.
