Hi, everyone!
My name is Margo and I’m 24 years old. I live in Chicago, where I grew up and have lived the majority of my life. I graduated from DePaul University in 2016 with a degree in international studies, sociology and German. Because of my international studies background, I not only love learning about other places and history, I also tend to travel and put myself in culturally-uncomfortable positions. I lived in rural Thailand for six months and have lived in Istanbul, Turkey at three different points.
While traveling and trying to understand other cultures is my passion, right now I work for a store called lululemon, which sells athletic clothing. Because of my job and my coworkers, I’ve become very active myself and I love it! This year I ran my first half marathon and competed in my first triathlon. My store also tries to better our community through fundraising for local nonprofits and trying to maximize positive social impact. Most of lululemon’s endeavors have circled health, which is why I’m so excited to be working with you guys to dive deeper into climate change in Chicago, Sudan and the rest of the world, because there is no doubt climate change impacts our overall wellbeing, especially water.
