The weather was surprisingly beautiful! While the forecast said that it would rain all weekend, Bergen was thankfully dry and sunny. It was about 40 degrees Fahrenheit, so I wore a scarf and hat to keep warm. It was the perfect weekend to appreciate the fall foliage (the changing colors of leaves on the trees) in Norway.
My friend Anisha and I took a funicular, a type of cable car that carries people up and down mountain, to the top of Mount Fløyen. As we were taking pictures, a group of goats walked up behind us! We named two of them Fern and Billy. Besides the goats, we also saw a group of ducks swimming in a lake on the top of the mountain.
Anisha and I embarked on a boat tour to see the fjords (a part of the sea that flows between big cliffs), and the orange foliage we saw from the boat was breathtaking. Edinburgh’s trees are changing colors, too, but there aren’t nearly as many trees in Edinburgh as there are in Bergen.
