One of my first stops in Madrid is always a bakery, where I grab a coffee and a pastry before setting off on a long walk to explore the city

In Madrid, street names are painted directly onto the buildings rather than placed on corner posts, and because the city is so old, many of the signs are beautifully aged works of art themselves
One of the most exciting parts about this trip to Madrid was going to "El Jardín" or, in English, The Garden, look at how magical it is!
In general, the people of Europe love to get around via bicycle, even in the busy streets of Madrid
One of my favorite things to do in new cities is explore the street art, and this piece—one of my absolute favorites, found in Lavapiés—feels like a perfect snapshot of the lives of the people who live there
