I made stir-fry with my roommates. That was the first time I tried making a peanut sauce. Even though we took a lot of liberties, it turned out great!
My teaching assistant friends and I made a group playlist. We have radio hits on there as well as our favorite songs from home. German radio stations play a lot of English music. Some of the artists are native speakers of English but not all are. It is odd, because if you were to only to listen to the radio, it is easy to forget you are in a different country. Once you go outside, all of that changes.
It may not have been fun in the normal sense, but I successfully applied for my visa this week! As an American, I am allowed to stay in Germany for up to three months as a tourist. That is why I did not need to get my visa before coming to Germany.
