Hola! Hi!
My name is Marley Duerst and I am 23 years old. I was born in Madison, Wisconsin. When I was ten, my family moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan and I lived there until I graduated from college. I loved growing up in the midwest, especially because almost all of my family lives there. Michigan is famous for its beautiful natural environment, so my two siblings and I spent a lot of time outside when we were younger. Our favorite activity was playing sports, especially soccer and basketball.
After I graduated from high school, I attended college at University of Michigan-- Go, Blue! I studied Spanish and International Studies with a specific concentration in culture and education. During college, I developed my passion for traveling and exploring the world. After my first year of college I went to Costa Rica for six weeks to learn Spanish. During my trip I realized how much I loved learning the language and decided I wanted to continue using the language for the rest of my life. During the summer following my sophomore (or second) year of college, I moved to San Francisco for a couple months to complete an internship. This was my first experience living somewhere far away from home which helped me become more confident and independent.
