It is not necessarily the case that the oldest players are the best players. In fact, you will be proud to hear that the girl who is probably the best youth female tennis player at both MATCH Foundation and in the entire country is only 12 years old! Her name is Faith and she doesn’t turn 13 until June. She is so good and wins all of the girls' tournaments. To challenge herself and improve even more, she has even started playing mostly with the advanced boys, many of whom are several years older than her. She can even at times beat us coaches in points! It is so weird for me to think that she is already so good and even younger than Lexi. She is not the only one. There are also a lot of boys that are young and dominating as well. It has been a lot of fun to see their progress and improvement both in tennis and in speaking English over the past few months.
As some of you requested, I have made sure to include some videos. I know they are your favorite! You will see some trainings, match play between students, and just how hectic it can get having so many students of a variety of skill levels all trying to learn within a small space. I hope you enjoy!
