¡Adios!

that sometimes I don’t stop to appreciate the good things I have in my life. I’m happy that Costa Rica has allowed me to slow down a little bit and take in my surroundings.

Finally, I will never forget all of the nice people I’ve met during my time in Costa Rica. My host family, in particular, has helped make my time here a beautiful experience. They have given me everything I needed and more these past few months. They always check in on me, they help me practice my Spanish and they even get rid of the bugs that wander into my room. I think that my time here would not have been as amazing if I didn’t have my host family to help me along the way.

Of course, there were some things that took some getting used to such as the tropical bugs, frequent rain showers and the language. Adjusting to another culture always takes time and patience. Things may not always be a smooth ride, but learning how to live in a different way is part of the experience. I know that I will look back at all of my pictures from my time here and remember how great of a journey this has been.

I really enjoyed sharing my journey with you all. I’m glad that I got to reflect on my experiences through my writing and really process the things that I’ve seen and heard while living in Costa Rica. I hope that you have enjoyed the photos and stories. I also hope that I have helped you start thinking about taking a trip of your own in the future. Sometimes, the hardest part is building up the courage to start the journey, but traveling is a very rewarding experience in the end.
