When I was younger, I had to prick my fingers every day and even get my blood tested before lunch at school. By the time I was your age, the insulin pump was invented, and in high school, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) became available. These tools changed my life and let me focus more on doing what I love. Living with those innovations inspired me to think about ways to innovate in my own field: these include studying the ocean, being a diver and exploring places few people have ever gone. Whatever you’re passionate about, I hope you choose to innovate, explore and discover new things that push boundaries and make a difference in the world!
