This week, my parents visited London for the first time to help me move back home. I am flying back to Vermont on Friday and will spend the summer there. I am so sad to be leaving but grateful to have had the opportunity to learn and live in beautiful London. I got to come to London because I was given a scholarship called the Gilman Scholarship, which allowed me to attend school here with other college students. Because of this scholarship, I met amazing people, learned from really talented teachers and gained confidence living far away from home. But most importantly, I have loved writing for you all and getting to see you all on video calls! You all are such amazing and impressive second graders, and I have LOVED spending time getting to know you all this year. Thank you so much for allowing me to share my travels with you, and I hope you all have a great rest of your year in Ms. Maurice's amazing classroom!
I also hope you too will take the chance to live and study abroad one day. I know you will love it if you do!
