Meeting New Friends - Dai Yunchuan

There is no washing machine or dryer in our dorm, we can only bring our clothes to the laundry room, and dry them up on the roof. For personal safety reasons, we are not allowed to cook in our dorms. We can only eat in the cafeteria, but the food in the cafeteria is terrible.

What is your family like?:

My parents have three children. I have two old sisters, and I am the youngest kid in my family. My parents used to work for interior design companies, and now they are retired. Both of my sisters are married and now they have their own families and children.

How do you get around?:

I usually take the subway in Beijing and fly for business trips.

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I like all types of clothes. There are many beautiful clothes in the world, and I never know what kind of clothes will look best on me. So, I like trying all kinds of clothes.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I like Chinese calligraphy (brush pen calligraphy). I usually practice with my friends during my free time. If you guys like it, I am happy to show you next time. Don’t forget to prepare your brush and ink.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak Chinese Mandarin, and I also speak a little Cantonese. “Hello” in Chinese is “Ni Hao” (你好).

Do you have pets?:

I don’t have pets in Beijing, but I have a poodle at my parent's house. I love all kinds of animals. That's why I am studying conservation biology.
