Our News

What activity was the most fun this week?:

In Hong Kong, we explored the Hong Kong Space Museum. In Washington D.C., my favorite museum is the National Air and Space Museum. Therefore, I had fun comparing the displays and information within each museum. While the Hong Kong Space Museum was much smaller than the National Air and Space Museum, it contained interactive activities for students and the same scientifically based information.

What did I read this week?:

For my courses, I read articles on Latin America's independence, Africa's culture and China's relationship with Japan. Independently, I continued reading former diplomat Henry Kissinger's book, "Diplomacy". As I study the history of United States foreign policy and different regions of the world, I am increasingly interested in global governance and cooperation.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

A couple of times this week, I ran around campus in the morning. I cannot get over the scenic view that combines the mountains and skyline!

Other news from this week:

I challenged myself to try one new food every day this week. Although I did not like the banana milk I tried, I loved the vanilla ice cream and red bean treat I tried. I am eager to try more new foods throughout my time in China!
