February is a strange month! During this month, there are some significant dates. First off, there is Valentine's Day, then my birthday. Then there is of course the odd fact that February has fewer days than any other month. Earlier today, I decided to count the number of days left in February. Then I counted the days until my trip to Taiwan in early March. Finally, I decided to count the number of days until the end of May. May is a significant month because my time in Vietnam will come to an end in May. Also, during the last week of May, all of the other sixteen Fulbright English teachers in Vietnam will meet and talk about their time teaching, exploring and learning in this country.

In three and a half months, I will leave the place that I have called home for the past year. I am, therefore, experiencing many different feelings right now. Part of me is looking forward to seeing my family, friends and cat. But another part of me feels a little bit sad. When I leave Vietnam, I will say goodbye to my students, my community and daily life in Lang Son. Since I am approaching the end of my time in Vietnam, I have spent a little bit of time thinking about my time here.
