Hello from Vietnam! I live and teach in Lang Son, which is located in the northeast part of the country. I live about 30 minutes away from the border with China. Lang Son has a lot of mountains, and sometimes it snows on the mountain tops. Speaking of snow, my hometown is Coon Rapids, Minnesota. I miss the cold weather. I may be far away from home, but my students at Lang Son College of Education make me feel welcome.
Before I came to Vietnam, I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota. I studied history, English and Japanese. In college, I learned a lot about the world and I studied in Japan and London. I made many friends in both places. I like to talk about what I learned with my students. They are all very interested in American culture, holidays and pop music.
When I am not teaching, I like to draw, cook, and go outside. Are you ready to go on an adventure with me?
