What main languages are spoken here?:

The main language spoken here is Italian, however a lot of people speak English too. English is used as a bridge language. If two people don’t speak each other’s native language, they will usually communicate in English instead.

What type of money is used here?:

Italy and many other European countries use the euro (€) as their currency.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water costs $0.25 cents.

What was the best meal this week?:

Soup! I had a vegetable and bean soup that tasted just like chili but better. 

What music did I listen to this week?:

I listened to two men playing live music in the town square. One man was playing the horn and the other the accordion. 

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I went on a trip to Siena, Italy. It is a very old town about 90 miles away from where I live. The streets are tiny, windy and hilly. It was filled with little cafes and many gift shops. I also toured a beautiful church that is entirely made of stone, including colored marble. 

What did I read this week?:

I read a book on how to make my own paint. I am studying this at University, we have a test soon so I have been studying. The old artists used egg yolk and ground up colored rocks, vegetables and dirt to make their paints!
