It’s the first day of my third week in London, and I feel confident about exploring the city without getting too lost. As someone terrible with directions and anxious about navigating public transportation, I’m proud to say I am now able to navigate the London tunnels flawlessly! I have not gotten hopelessly lost yet (knock on wood). I hope my descriptions of public transport inspire you to be more adventurous and learn more about your own public transport system.
In London, there are a few different methods of transportation! I use my own two feet quite a bit, but the classic favorite (and the fastest method) would be the tube, otherwise known as the “train.” The classic double-decker buses are a second favorite of mine. Also, as a lesser-known means of transportation, is my absolute favorite: the Uber Boat. I got to experience it recently, which was wonderful! Unfortunately, the Uber Boat is the most expensive method of transportation and not practical for daily use, but the scenery from the ride was beautiful. It was the most enjoyable method of transportation I have taken so far.
