After studying abroad in Spain three years ago I was hooked and determined to return to this incredible country. Now I feel so grateful to be back! I am working as an Fulbright English Teaching Assitant in Ourense. This city is located in the region of Galicia in northwestern Spain. If you look on a map you will see that Portugal and Spain are right next to each other and you can find my city directly north of Portugal.
I grew up in Jamestown, North Carolina, and last year I graduated from Elon University in North Carolina. While in college I studied mathematics education and Spanish. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I also love math and languages, so I decided to combine them all together!
One of my favorite things to do is to travel and explore new places, whether it is across town or halfway across the world. I love learning about people and cultures that are different from me and what I am used to back home. The people of Ourense are so kind and I love discovering more of the wonderful surprises this city and country have to share. Are you ready to join me?
