As my time with Reach the World comes to an end, I have been thinking a lot about everything that has happened over these past months. Coming to Zambia was such a huge change for me, and in the beginning, there were many things I had to get accustomed to. I had to adjust to new foods, different ways of life, new transportation, new routines and even hearing different languages and accents every day. At first, everything felt unfamiliar, but over time Zambia slowly started to feel like a second home to me.

One of the best parts of this experience has been getting to share my journey with your class. I loved being able to show you pieces of daily life here, from the landscapes and markets to the traditions, animals, schools, and conversations I have had with people in the community. I hope my stories helped make Zambia feel more real and connected to you instead of just being a place on a map. Even though we live in different parts of the world, this experience reminded me how much people everywhere have in common.

There were so many moments that challenged me and helped me grow. Living abroad taught me how to be more patient, flexible, independent and open-minded.
