The first few days of the week were cloudy. In the evening of both Monday and Tuesday, we experienced heavy rainfall, but the weather cleared up and became quite hot for the remainder of the week.
While exploring Sydney, I saw lots of White Ibis, also known as "Bin Chickens" due to their tendency to dig through trash bins. I also saw plenty of Sulphur-crested Cockatoos flying around and squawking very loudly.
While visiting Centennial Parklands, I visited a Flying Fox colony. As soon as I walked into the forest and looked upward, I saw thousands of these large bats suspended from the trees.
Australia's seasons are opposite from the northern hemisphere's. Currently, Australia is entering autumn, meaning temperatures will start to cool and the leaves will begin to turn orange. As tourist season ends, beaches will also begin to become less crowded.
