Traveler Bio

Hi, there! I'm Michael! If you were to know a couple of things about me, they are that I'm a big family man and love to travel, play music, and raise animals! I'm the youngest of four children and live in Long Island, New York, where I'm preparing to become a doctor.

During my college years, I traveled to Cambodia and Thailand to volunteer with communities abroad. I also went to California, Montana, and Florida with some of my buddies! When I travel, something I always bring with me is my guitar. I taught myself the guitar, as well as the piano and cello, and I always love to share the music I grew up with those I meet in other states and countries.

I'm also a lover of animals! During COVID-19, my father and I raised a total of 18 ducks! We learned how to incubate an egg and make sure the babies experienced a proper birth. To this day, our ducks walk to our house from our local pond to enjoy the breakfast, lunch, and dinner we supply them with daily. Lastly, I'm a proud father to an 8-year-old Yorkie named Harley, who lived with my family through it all.

I'm excited about my upcoming trip to Haifa, Israel, where I will study Public Health at the University of Haifa. The goal is to understand how we can make the world a healthier and happier place by sharing lifestyle health tips, understanding healthcare systems across the world, such as hospitals and community-based care centers and creating new policies to benefit those less privileged and under-resourced.

Aside from the program, the University of Haifa sits on top of Carmel Mountain, a beautiful location filled with wildlife, plants, extraordinary biodiversity, and spectacular people. Therefore, I am excited to share pictures of the lovely landscape where I will study and introduce you to some buddies I will meet along the way! I look forward to taking you along with me on my journey to Israel!
