I started this program with Reach the World without knowing exactly what to expect. I'm certainly not used to sharing my story with other people, so I have never had an experience quite like this one. Each one of you girls at BGLIG is full of such extraordinary curiosity, intelligence and potential. Every time I was able to video conference with your class, I saw how incredible each of you is. I enjoyed our conversations and always looked forward to seeing your smiling faces. I am so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to meet all of you. Please continue to practice and learn Spanish. It is such a beautiful language, and it is going to help you so much in the future. Being bilingual is a valuable skill in this world. While you may face difficulties learning and speaking Spanish, know that the ability to communicate with people who only speak Spanish will open up your world to so many new people and ideas. Finish the year off strong. I know you girls are going to get great grades and I wish you a happy winter holiday. I cannot wait to see you all sometime next year.
