Hello, my travel buddies! I had so much fun taking you on a journey with me here in Timor-Leste! We were able to learn about the cost of items; how many different types of bananas there are; what modes of transportation, exist here; what the community looks like; what the climate feels like...we even learned about dogs in Timor-Leste! I've enjoyed your many colorful questions about my time here in Timor. I believe my favorite question was, "Why did I become a volunteer?" I know you may think that as 4th graders, you are too young to volunteer, but you're not! If you have the heart to help others and make a difference in a person or community, put your Nikes on, and just do it! Your volunteering may look like picking up trash in your local community or mowing an elderly neighbor's yard. It doesn't exactly matter since you decide what you would like to contribute to society. My contribution was coming to Timor-Leste and being lucky enough to share my experience with you. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Adios hau-nia kolegas (Goodbye, my friends)!
