The majority of my week was spent in Nuwara Eliya. Early Sunday morning, however, I took a five hour car ride to Colombo and flew out to Nepal, landing late that evening and collapsing on a hotel bed.
Minnesota to Sri Lanka is nearly nine thousand miles, and since arriving here, I've probably traveled another thousand. Plus I just added another 1,500 this weekend on my flight to Nepal!
I traveled by foot, car and, more recently, by plane!
I am currently in Nepal, but I have yet to see much! All I can say thus far is that the cool weather of Nepal provides a nice change of pace from the still more tropical weather of the Sri Lankan hill-country. It is currently raining, though, so we'll see how long that optimism lasts. The mountains outside my window will keep the gloom at bay.
