My Autobiography

Now, I am living in Malaysia for one year to teach English to middle and high schoolers. I am excited to live in Malaysia because my students will likely be from Malaysia, China, India and other neighboring countries, and their customs, religions and personalities will reflect this diversity. Much like the U.S., Malaysia is home to people from all over the world, so I hope to learn a lot about my students' and fellow teachers' backgrounds, shed light on my experience as an American and build a bridge between our two countries.

I also hope to explore the various geographies of Malaysia while I'm here: hiking the mountains, relaxing on the beaches and exploring the towns. The United States is similar in that we have mountains, beaches, and cities. I want to make sure that I make the most of it all. Finally, I would love to travel to surrounding countries: Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, China and others. Every nation has different traditions, beautiful scenery and interesting people, so I will soak it all in, take photos and report back to you!
