My first week in Rome was sunny every day, with a few clouds. It was a bit cold considering that it was the first week of February!
Here in the middle of a crowded city, there are not many wild animals. However, Rome is famous for its alley cats. Roman cats even hang out in the old Roman ruins like Torre Argentina!
I loved seeing how the buildings were worn by the natural elements and trying to decipher how old they were based on clues like erosion.
I find it fascinating that although Italy is so much further north than Texas, the two places have temperatures that are not very different. Due to its location on the Mediterranian Sea, Rome has a little shield of warmth and, in turn, has a mild temperate climate.
