I traveled from Venice to get to Rome, which was about a four hour train ride. The trains in Italy are amazing because the tracks span the entire length of the country.
Traveling from Venice to Rome, I basically traveled across half the country in only a few hours. Did you know that Italy is about three times smaller than Texas?!
In my first week, I traveled by train to the city from the airport, and I traveled by foot to explore the city.
The most Interesting place I visited this week was the Pantheon, one of my favorite places in Rome. The Pantheon is a temple dedicated to all Roman gods and is the best-preserved ancient Roman monument. I luckily got to go while it was raining, which was especially cool because the building has a circular hole in its ceiling where rain streams through!
