This was the first week it started to get cold for me. The south of France doesn't get very cold even into the winter, but as I travelled further north during the break, I got to experience a colder France as well as the cold of Switzerland. Switzerland may not look very cold with how sunny it is typically, but it was absolutely freezing when I went there! I had to borrow sweaters and hats from my cousins because I hadn't brought any of my winter clothes.
The seagulls in Switzerland are very used to people feeding them and will fly right up to you if you have food in your hand.
Most of Switzerland is in the mountains, and the elevation is higher than in many parts of France and Italy. However, you don't notice how high you are until you see mountains poking through the clouds!
Many of the major cities in France were carefully planned out by previous kings rather than being cities that started small and then expanded. When these cities were established, planners weren’t thinking about how important trees are or about gardens and parks.
