There are still piles of snow everywhere! Aside from the winter wonderland, I love the sky here. While you might think it is cloudy and snowy, the sky (in our few hours of daylight) is a light blue color with vivid sunsets in the afternoon.
It's been hard to spot animals in the wild this week. My guess is that some are hibernating and others are hiding out in the forest and snow.
The northern lights were active this week, so I decided to go out to Lake Nydala where there are no lights from the city or neighborhoods. The aurora borealis, the scientific name for northern lights, don't come all at once. To me, they look like they're flickering, even dancing. It was magical.
I loved seeing the Northern Lights, but especially with the backdrop of a completely frozen lake. It looked like a mirror image.
