Suprisingly, these ones are not poisonous, but the wasp's sting isn't fun at all.
I wish you could see how much a difference the weather makes in the landscape here. When I say dry season, I really mean dry season. In fact, I don't think I saw my first rainfall until three months after arriving here. This dryness, in addition to 90 degree weather every day and the sun baking everything, makes the country very brown and dry during the dry season. However, now that we are in the rainy season with rain coming almost every day, the entire landscape has changed from brown to green. Everywhere you look is green, green, green! This is especially clear when almost every square foot of dirt that isn't being walked or driven on is turned into maize fields. It is so beautiful!
