In Sydney, it was sunny most days with quite a bit of wind! Sometimes it rains in the afternoons, and it's always cooler after. In Fiji, they're in their wet season, so it was raining pretty consistently while we were there. We still had a lot of fun!
Australian wildlife has quite the reputation, but unfortunately, the exciting animals are not in the city very much. Nonetheless, I have seen some fun animals. There is an abundance of birds, most of which are aggressive. For example, the Australian Ibis always walks up to you if you have food. They won't leave even when you shoo them away. I've also seen bats in our backyard! Of course, there have also been spiders. Additionally, I went to the Australian Museum last week and saw taxidermied (dead and stuffed) kangaroos, platypuses and wombats.
