The weather was beautiful this week! It has been warm this week but not too hot. The sun has been out almost every day, and there has been no rain. I have been enjoying it, mainly because last week was very rainy!
I live in the city center of Siena, so there aren't many animals around because everything is made of brick and cobblestone. This week I have only seen pigeons—and lots of them — and dogs! Most of the dogs I see are pretty small pets because most people living in the city center stay in apartments.
The most remarkable thing I saw in nature this week was on our class trip to Monte Oliveto (Mount Olive Grove). Here, one of our professors pointed out some wild mint for us to see and taste! At Monte Oliveto, they grow their own olives for olive oil, grapes and herbs, like the mint, for teas and other drinks, which Italians often drink after a meal to help settle their stomachs!
