It's been really humid this past week, and this week is shaping up to be more of the same. We're in a heat wave right now. Last week the 15 hottest places on Earth were all in Australia, with some places reaching 120F (https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/australia/109967182/the-worlds-15-hottest-...). Luckily it's not that hot in Brisbane, but last week it was over 100F with humidity at around 80 percent. It was not much fun. I try and spend as much time as possible at the radio station because they have air conditioning, and my place doesn't.
I saw more of the usual wildlife around here, nothing out of the ordinary. I paid closest attention to all the different kinds of birds. While writing the last logbook I saw a lot of magpies, birds that remind me of crows. This week I saw a lot more parrots and tropical birds, so there were a lot of different colors to see and lots of loud squawking.
