This week, the weather felt pretty good, but people in Guangzhou are not used to the cold at all, so they wear coats even when it feels like 70 degrees outside!
This week I saw a few more cute dogs in the city, and I was surprised to see one very big and beautiful dog in particular. Most of the dogs you see in the city are small, and their owners walk them around without a leash.
This week, I found a neighboorhood that had a large canal running through it. A canal is kind of like a river, but in the past they were used for quick transportation through a city before there were cars. In the United States, the most famous canal used to transport people and things is the one between New York and Ohio. You have probably heard of it. It's called the Erie Canal. In China, the canals still exist although they are no longer necessary for transportation. Have you heard of any other famous cities with canals?
