The weather this week was gloomy, to say the least. It was cloudy all week and rained really hard on Friday and Saturday. Cloudiness and rain is very normal for Shanghai, so the city did not “sleep” by any means; it was still very busy! Tuesday was a very beautiful day, though. The sun was shining bright and the air felt more crisp than usual.
The only animals that I've seen have been stray cats and birds, which are pretty common animals in a huge city.
The coolest thing I saw this week in nature was the Huangpu river. The river divides Shanghai into essentially an east and a west, right down the middle, and it is also the last significant tributary to the Yangtze river. The Yangtze river is the third longest river in the world.
We are in the midst of changing seasons from summer to fall, and I can clearly feel it.
