This week, the weather was very cloudy and rainy. Most days were cloudy during the day but windy and stormy at night. I asked some of the Madrid locals if this type of weather was common, but they were as surprised as me by how rainy it was!
This week I saw three different types of animals: fish, birds and dogs. On one of the more sunny days this week, I walked over to Retiro Park, which is Madrid's most popular park. I saw Koi fish swimming in the pond! They were so colorful. In Retiro, I also saw Palm Trees with birds on them. Plus, whenever you walk through Madrid, you see pigeons everywhere! These pigeons appear to own some of the statues here. In addition to the Koi fish and the pigeons, locals have a lot of pets. I don't think I have ever seen so many different dog species on the streets! This week I saw two chihuahuas, a yorkie, a greyhound, a dalmation and a bulldog!
