The weather this week was cooler than when I first arrived in Seoul, but it is still hot! However, it is no longer humid since autumn began.
I saw a Korean magpie, the national bird of the Republic of Korea! It is a beautiful, black-headed bird with a white chest and royal blue wings. While walking home at night, I also saw a frog on the floor on campus.
I saw several trees with red, orange, and brown leaves while hiking in the mountains. With a clear blue sky, I was able to see a beautiful view of the city when I reached the top of the mountain.
There have been several typhoons and tropical storm warnings this past month. There will be another typhoon passing through South Korea, though it will not hit Seoul. It will be raining in Seoul due to the approaching typhoon, so I will have to carry an umbrella!
