The weather in Lahnstein was a little crazy, because it changed so quickly! Once, I was walking down the street, and the sun was shining, but I heard a strange sound behind me. I turned around to see a mass of rain clouds moving straight towards me, and in seconds the clouds completely covered the sun and I was in the middle of a rainstorm! Luckily I had brought an umbrella, or I’d have been in trouble.
Even though it’s turning into winter, I still saw a lot of ducks and other birds flying around. Along the Rhine (one of the two main rivers in Lahnstein) I also saw a big group of swans swimming around looking for food!
There are two big rivers going through Lahnstein, the Rhine and the Lahn. I climbed to the top of the Lahneck castle, and from there I could see where the two rivers meet. They are two different colors: the Rhine is more green, and the Lahn is more blue. I really enjoyed seeing these rivers from so high up.
