There are common themes in China such as good fortune, luck, honor and loyalty. Also, family, respect for elders and order of relationships are other important aspects of society.
Local environments may be very influential in the way that Chinese people decide whom to marry, why to marry and how to celebrate the union. Weddings in rural China are more traditional, whereas those in large cities are more modern and even include Western traditions such as the bride wearing white instead of red.
