It has been nothing but hot and sunny for the past three weeks at least. The rainy season is now over, meaning we have the heat from the sun and no rain to cool us off. The only break we get is when a cloud passes over the sun, or in the early hours of the morning when the sun has been down for a very long time.
I see all kinds of animals every day! As I write this, three chickens are pecking at the ground just to my left. We have a baby chick walking around, growing bigger every day. The goats just turned the corner, foraging for grass. A young goat just walked up to say hi, as if it knew I was writing this. On my walk today, I saw a herd of cows being led back to their home. And of course, we can't forget the mosquitoes, which rule our homestead by the millions.
