I love working out and participating in sports. I knew before I came to Tlaxcala that I would want to find places where I could engage in these activities. My favorite physical activities are playing soccer and volleyball and going for runs. Luckily, I have a soccer field, running trails and some parks nearby where I live, so I am able do these activities whenever I have time. Compared to the type of spaces I am used to at home, there are definitely fewer options here in Tlaxcala, but it is definitely still sufficient to fulfill my needs.
I learned about the need for public spaces that permit members of the community to engage in physical activity. Because this is an important interest for me in my life, I was curious about it from the first day that I arrived in Mexico. Through discussion with different people and experiencing these spaces for myself, I have learned a lot about the available options. Is this a need that exists in your community? Do you know what kind of options are available?
