Faith's Daily Life in Taiwan

Introduction:

My name is Faith Cooper and I live in the Xinzhuang District in New Taipei City. I am currently studying brand and fashion management at Fu Jen Catholic University. I received a Fulbright scholarship to study in Taiwan. I also enjoy taking Chinese Mandarin classes, so I can make more Taiwanese friends! Before moving to Taiwan, I lived in New York City; however, my mom, dad and brother live in North Carolina.

I love living in Taiwan! There are so many interesting places to visit, especially museums, which I try to see regularly. I can also easily get around Taipei due to the MRT (mass rapid transit). The weather is getting warmer in Taiwan now, so it’s time to pull out my tee shirts and skirts!

What is your full name?:

Faith Cooper

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

I live in a dormitory on my school's campus. My school is in the Xinzhuang District, which is in the western part of New Taipei City.

What is your family like?:

I have one younger brother, a mom and a dad. They all live in North Carolina.

How do you get around?:

Since I live on campus, I can walk to my classes. However, my Chinese language tutor is in Taipei, so I take the MRT to Taipei. The MRT in Taiwan is super efficient and much cleaner than the one that runs in New York.
