Shout out to the Kinmen Kids!

Introduction:

My school has an English club of 9 students that meets every Wednesday to practice reading English. For this week, I brought them a list of English questions to think about. These students are in grades 3-6. Some students have only been learning English for two years, so the questions were a little hard for them! Amy is in the same 6th grade class as Tom and Ian who are twin boys. Elly, Yoyo, and Ryan are students in my 5th grade class. Star is a girl in 4th grade, and Angel and Andy are in 3rd grade. All students here get English names as early as kindergarten, and we always use our English names in my classes.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

Ryan wrote that he eats bread for breakfast. In Taiwan the bread is usually a baked bun with a sweet element such as pineapple or coconut frosting. Yoyo likes to eat a banana with milk for breakfast. For lunch, they normally have a juice box or milk carton. The milk can be made from soy, nuts or beans. Normally, there is also a piece of fresh fruit such as bananas, kiwis or oranges. Lunch also always includes a thin soup mostly of broth and rice. Most days, there will be a fresh leafy vegetable dish as well as a protein dish like tofu, pork or steamed eggs. Dinner foods are quite similar to lunch foods. They normally have a rice or noodle dish that has vegetables such as cabbage, carrots or mushrooms.
