"My family don't work in the Arts but all have artistic streaks in them - they play instruments, paint, and take photographs. I come from a family of five and I'm the eldest child."
“I don’t drive, having nearly always lived in or near Dublin city, the capital. I take busses mostly and trains when I can afford them!” When asked about public transport he said that, “It is sufficient but not optimal.”
"I wear a lot of black basics with some more characterful outer layers - like waistcoasts (vests to ye Americans!), scarves, longline hoodies, and always my trusty Doc Martens."
"In my free time I like to read, listen to good (and bad) music, spend time in nature and (too often maybe) space out playing video games or watching Netflix."
Nature is very important to Mr. O’Conor. “The sea calms me,” he said. “The forest inspires me.” Ireland is well known for her natural beauty. (Ireland has long been personified as a woman by poets and politicians alike, as a symbol of resistance, national identity, and someone in need of being protected.) According to Mr. O’Conor, the most beautiful place in Ireland is, ‘The ring of Kerry, especially the town of Dingle.’ Kerry is in Southwestern Ireland, very near County Cork, where I live. It’s a popular destination for hiking. The rolling green hills sometimes remind me of Kentucky.
When asked about sports, he said that he personally wasn’t a sports guy. ‘Sorry, haha!’
