






The main language in Nepal is Nepali but there are in fact a lot of languages spoken here. I am, for example, currently learning how to speak Tibetan.
The type of money that is used here is the Nepali rupee.
A bottle of water costs 20 Nepali rupees here. In U.S. dollars, that's about 20 cents.

In class this week, we listened to a lot of Tibetan music. We also learned how to dance Tibetan.
I spent a night out in Thamel, which is a district in the city of Kathmandu. I got the chance to explore the nightlife culture in Kathmandu and met some new people!
This week I read a research paper that a previous student had written. The research paper was about Tibetan identity in exile.
