Spanish, English and Catalan are the main languages spoken in Zaragoza. During my time here in Spain, I started using expressions such as ¡Qué guay! which means cool or awesome, and Vale which means okay, I understand, and sounds good in my daily vocabulary.
The official currency of the countries within the European Union is the euro. Currently, 1 euro is equivalent to $1.10.
A bottle of water, on average, costs €2.00. However, I find it cheaper to purchase 1.5 liters of water for €2.50. Although the tap water is safe to drink in Zaragoza, in my apartment, I prefer to use a water filter pitcher.
I wanted authentic Aragonese cuisine to better understand the gastronomy of Zaragoza, so I went to a restaurant named El Fuelle. My friend and I shared a three-course meal; first came the salad and the bread. The migas de la casa (fried breadcrumbs with grapes) and the embutido a la brasa (assortment of braised Spanish sausage) with Iberian ham followed.
