What main languages are spoken here?:

The main languages spoken in Bariloche are Spanish, English and German. Spanish is the main language of Argentina and the continent of South America. However, English is used a lot here because Bariloche is a tourist destination for many people from different countries, and English is the common language used to connect with them. Bariloche has a strong German-speaking community because of the large immigration of Germans in the 19th and 20th centuries (1800's and 1900's). There is even a German-Spanish school for students in Bariloche.

What was the best meal this week?:

The best meal I ate this week was arepas! Arepas are a round flatbread made from ground corn (which we call cornmeal), salt and water. They are very common to eat in Colombia and Venezuela. They are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Ours were cooked over a fire on a grill. We ate them at an outlook point in Bariloche, and they were delicious.

The images I included show the variety of arepas we had.
