Getting water fizzante, on the other hand, is buying bubbly water. To avoid spending money on water or accidentally getting a mouthful of bubbles, Italy offers free, fresh and clean water fountains for the public to use! These fountains constantly run cold, drinkable water through almost every city and neighborhood.
The best meal I had this week was a cheese pizza. It sounds very simple, but it was delicious! The shop made the dough by hand, used fresh sauce and cheese and cooked it right in front of you! It was warm and gooey and the perfect end of my night.
I listened to a lot of music! When traveling, especially on the train, I listen to music a lot. This week, the band I listened to the most was The Beatles because they remind me of my mom and helped me feel less homesick.
The most fun activity this week was my weekend travels! I spent all of Saturday bouncing around the city of Mantova to see different art! In total, I went to 11 different places in the town to see the art and architecture.
This week I had a ton of reading to do for my art history classes! These included readings about the museums we went to and some of the artists we will learn about next week. For fun, I am reading a book in the historical fiction genre before bed. In my everyday life, I read all the time, and each museum has descriptions for the rooms and of the art on display. In addition, I read things like train schedules, maps and menus every day as I familiarize myself with Italy.
