Water flowed rapidly inside of a tight tunnel that propelled us forward into a small hole, which we crawled out of into an enclosed slot canyon/crack in the rock. I had no idea where we were going or what we would find and it was exhilarating. We eventually had to free-climb our way out to the main cave.
I am currently reading 4 books! Having a Kindle has been a game-changer since moving here. I'm reading Exit West by Mohsin Hamid, Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros, Red Rising by Pierce Brown, and David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell.
I went hiking, cave diving, rock climbing and mud sliding. I also played Monopoly Deal and an assortment of card games.
This past week was a major holiday for South America: Carnaval! This is an excuse to have a water fight in the street, get coated in paint and foam, and have large, colorful parades. Every time I walked outside for the last 2 weeks, I was a potential target for water guns, water balloons and the more economic option, a simple bucket of water. I walked home drenched several days in a row.
