Between running, biking and kickboxing, it’s been a fun way to stay active and meet people in the community.
This week I’ve also been working on connecting a Macedonian college student who is currently studying in Oregon with the junior high school in my village. The goal is for students here in North Macedonia to hear directly from someone their own age about what life and school are like in the United States. I think it’s especially interesting because she is Macedonian, so she can compare both cultures from her own experience. Moments like this have encouraged me to look for more opportunities to connect people and share perspectives across cultures.
