This week I tried to speak French with my football teammates. They even played some French drill (rap) music for me, so I learned to rap in French!
They use Swiss Francs here! The Franc is one of the world's strongest currencies, even stronger than the US Dollar. That means if I pay 12 Franc for a meal, I’m really paying $15 USD!
A bottle of water costs about 2 Franc from a convenient store. However, I went to a hockey game with my host family this week, and water bottles were about 5 Francs there.
The best meal I had this week was Älplermagronen, which is a dish from the Alpine regions of Switzerland. It is a yummy dish consisting of pasta, potatoes, cream, cheese, and onions that my host family cooked for me!
I discovered some French drill music. Also, my girlfriend told me to listen to the new Harry Styles album. It was actually really good, I enjoyed his song called “Coming up Roses”. This shows the influence that the US entertainment industry has on music is worldwide!
